10. Kofi Kingston

We might as well start with the guy who inspired this entire list in the first place.

On May 2nd 2026, it was revealed that The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) were leaving WWE. This shocking announcement brought to an end a glittering career, which included 13 tag team title reigns across Raw, SmackDown, and NXT.

That's not including their individual accomplishments, including Woods' King of the Ring crown and Kingston's reign with the WWE Championship. 

While Woods leaving caught people off guard, the Kingston news was on a whole other level. 

Since his debut on the ECW brand all the way back in January 2008, Kingston has been a constant fixture of WWE TV. He's won championships, been part of some iconic moments, and has flown the flag for the promotion like a hero. It was assumed by many that Kingston would be part of the WWE machine for the rest of his life. Maybe that would have been the case in the old regime, but TKO have made it very clear that nobody is safe from their endless quest to cut costs and increase profits.
