With the current health crisis forcing the world at large to remain indoors, TV ratings have been enjoying a healthy boost as captive audiences tune in to help stave off madness during the lockdown. Professional wrestling has, however, proven to be the unfortunate exception to this rule. With record lows in the ratings department, it seems that casual fans are struggling to connect with wrestling in the empty arena era.

Well, more fool them we say. Those who have given up on wrestling during the past couple of months have missed out on some of the most enthrallingly bizarre and uplifting moments in the history of the sport. This list aims to celebrate the weird and wonderful ways the performers of WWE and AEW have entertained their fans during these trying circumstances. Despite how you may feel about the people in charge, the wrestlers in each company have gone above and beyond in providing us with our wrestling fix week in and week out since the lockdown started and deserve to be lauded for doing so.

With that being said, Release the List!

There's no-one else in AEW who could have made this segment work so well. Jericho's smug, self-satisfied aging rock star is one of the best characters in wrestling today, and the man played his part beautifully here. His inability to say "sorry" and the "elbow to propellor" line already had us chuckling, but it's his indignant bellow of "RELEASE THE HOUNDS!" that turned the segment into genuine comedy gold.

We may never get a t-shirt out of it, but we'll always have the memories.
