10 Most Unmemorable Title Reigns In WWE History

10. Shinsuke Nakamura (Intercontinental Championship)

Sure, we all remember Nakamura was Intercontinental Champion. After all, his reign just ended last July. However, the run itself was completely forgettable.

Of course, one of the key ingredients to a memorable title run is defending said title. WWE had Nakamura put the IC strap on the line so infrequently, during this 201-day reign, that it was sometimes difficult to remember that he even held it in the first place.

To illustrate the previous point, when he finally dropped the gold to Braun Strowman on SmackDown, it had been 105 days (over half the length of his championship run) since the last televised intercontinental title defense.

Due in no small part to bad booking, Nakamura's WWE career has been on a fairly steady decline since his WrestleMania 34 WWE Championship match with AJ Styles. Moreover, the I.C. title has been an afterthought for the better part of the last two decades (if not longer). When one considers these two factors, it's easy to understand why this fairly lengthy championship run isn't one we'll be talking about in the coming years.
