10 Most Volatile WWE Crowds Ever

4. WrestleMania X8

Remaining in Toronto€”though this time in a much bigger arena€”we arrive at the brilliant spectacle that was WrestleMania X8. It may not have gone on last, but nonetheless The Rock vs. Hollywood Hogan is widely accepted to have been the true main event from that show€”no matter what CM Punk may think. Hogan was of course running with the villainous now gimmick at the time, while the Rock was as big a babyface as ever. All of that was soon to change though when the bell rang €˜Mania, as nothing but nostalgia compelled the 68,000 strong in SkyDome to turn their back on the Rock. Not that this was an anti-Rock audience€”merely it was such a monumental occasion to see the Hulkster back on the WrestleMania stage that the fans in attendance simply couldn€™t help but cheer him on. And just as the crowd slipped back to their ways of old in cheering on Hogan, as did the man himself. He was soon pulling out his signature taunts, and even Hulked up before the bout was done. Ultimately the Rock scored the torch-passing victory, but this match is arguably better-remembered for the incredible crowd and the way in which they revived the spirit of Hulkamania.
