7. The Person Behind GTV
What could be more thrilling than watching Val Venis insult Big Show's penis at the urinals, or Al Snow talk to a mannequin head as he read magazines? During the Attitude era, the answer was everything. That didn't stop the WWF from trying out some secretive filming in the form of 'GTV'.
Grainy, black and white backstage footage that seemed like subpar bonus disc material from some abandoned nWo DVD began airing in 1999. Fans were never given much context; GTV, announcers said, was a complete and utter mystery, but they'd definitely love to know who was snooping on the roster.
Reports suggest either Goldust or Tom Green (Chris Jericho once claimed this in an interview) were pencilled in as the weirdos filming backstage. In the end, nobody was outed. GTV, like most other mysteries on this list, fizzled out before reaching a conclusion.
