10 New Directions For WWE After Crown Jewel 2023
Crown Jewel offered new beginnings for some and...the end of the road for WWE icons?!
Saying goodbye to John Cena is gonna be painful, but it was always inevitable.
At Crown Jewel, the legend cut a disconsolate figure as he soaked up applause from Saudi Arabian fans post-loss to a rampant Solo Sikoa. Inside, and behind the mask of misery, Cena must've been thrilled by how well he'd done the honours for Solo - JC made The Bloodline's heavy look like a million bucks.
The show wasn't all about closing chapters though. There were new beginnings aplenty for stars like Logan Paul, the returning Kairi Sane, Sami Zayn and Drew McIntyre. Paul is a fresh champion who will bring eyeballs to WWE's product, Sane might've just ended Damage CTRL, Sami is a thief (?!) and Drew is about to rock the boat.
WWE's product is compelling for sure heading into Royal Rumble-WrestleMania season, and it's now official that WarGames will headline Survivor Series at the end of November. That's a relief following worries that Raw vs. SmackDown would dominate, but it does throw up another couple of questions for Triple H to answer.

10. WarGames!
It's official.
Most people suspected that WarGames would come to Chicago at the end of the month anyway, but WWE ended all doubts by running an ad for the famous match type at Crown Jewel. Now, attention turns to exactly which workers will step foot inside the iconic double ring/cage on 25 November.
Judgment Day gang Finn Bálor, Damian Priest, Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh vs. a gathering of babyfaces spearheaded by Cody Rhodes sounds likely. The 'American Nightmare' will likely be joined by Jey Uso, Sami Zayn and another face if so.
Or, perhaps WWE has something else Bloodline-related in mind for the event as a follow up on last year's majesty? Anything is possible, but JD going to war sounds about right given how the faction has dominated television on the Raw side.
It's heartening to know that Triple H views WarGames as a dazzling set piece perfect for Survivors; the "brand warfare" stuff is old hat anyway.
