The rumors of Shinsuke Nakamura signing with WWE and the details of his contract are far from substantiated, but the belief is that it did cost WWE a pretty penny to sign the IWGP Intercontinental Champion. While those rumors are unconfirmed, it does make sense that Nakamura wouldn't have come cheap and, from WWE's perspective, they wouldn't plan to spend a ton of money on a superstar they saw being anything less than a true main event superstar. There's also the rumors that Nakamura will be skipping NXT altogether and will hit the main roster right away. If those are the plans, a potential run with the WWE Championship, an immediate one, should not be ruled out. Nakamura is so incredibly charismatic, a feature that WWE and Vince McMahon loves, that the possibility of the King of Strong Style being the next King of the WWE as its World Heavyweight Champion must be considered a strong possibility.
