One of the hottest things going in the WWE today is NXT every Thursday live and also on demand on the WWE Network. The format and broadcast of NXT has changed many times over the years. The concept debuted in 2010 on the SyFy Network as somewhat of a reality competition where a "rookie" was paired with a "pro". Most of the early parts of NXT was centered around silly competitions to go along with matches and promo work. The biggest takeaway from the first iteration of NXT was The Nexus with the winner of the first season, Wade Barrett, leading the group in what would be a great faction until creative decisions killed their momentum. After season five of NXT, the show became what you see today, and Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) was changed to NXT Wrestling. It was no longer a competition, and just turned into a wrestling show with their own angles with the wrestlers in developmental. The various FCW championships were replaced with the NXT Championship, NXT Tag Team Championship, and NXT Women's Championship. NXT was thrust into the spotlight this past February by becoming the first ever live event on the WWE Network with the NXT Arrival show; which was similar to a pay per view. The WWE Network has been a great catalyst in the success of NXT; however, promotion of the product could be a lot better on the flagships shows of the WWE that are on broadcast television. NXT has grown with the WWE Universe exponentially in 2014 thanks to several different reasons. Many regard NXT as the WWE's best show, even better than Monday Night Raw. This article is going to break down ten different reasons as to why NXT is better viewing than Raw or Smackdown today.
