10 Reasons Why Roman Reigns Topped PWI's Top 500 Wrestlers 2022

2. You Notice When He’s Not There

It's hard to heap any hate on Roman for securing a lighter schedule after a solid decade of hard graft. The 37 year old still has years and years ahead of him, but he's only trying to protect his body and drawing power by bowing out of the weekly grind.

Any annoyance when he's absent is actually a compliment anyway.

Fans notice when Reigns isn't on SmackDown, for example. It's a lesser show when the 'Tribal Chief' isn't in town, and that's true even when he's only there to cut a promo. Christ, some fans would probably buy a ticket to Smackers just to see Roman's lengthy entrance; it's Undertaker-like.

There was nothing especially wrong with Solo Sikoa's acceptance into the Bloodline on TV recently, but it would've been even better had Reigns been in the house to announce the NXT star as one of his family. That says everything about Roman's appeal and importance to WWE's TV output.
