10 Reasons WWE Can't Care About Their TV Ratings Anymore

10. WWE Neglected To Make Bray Wyatt A Superstar

Bray Wyatt should've buried the Undertaker forever at Wrestlemania 31. In not doing so, WWE effectively crippled one of their best heel characters in 25 years and lost a potentially huge spike in interest for the company. OK. Let's imagine that one of the highlights of last year's Wrestlemania wasn't Seth Rollins cashing in Money In The Bank, but rather that Bray Wyatt defeated The Undertaker in 10 minutes with Sister Abigail, rolled him into a casket, then proceeded to engage in a ten-minute segment where he lowered said casket into the ground. Instead of Seth Rollins being on the Today Show, what if it were Bray Wyatt there, doing a half-shoot/half-work interview in which he presented himself as the "new face of fear," talked about how he developed his character, and some notes on the unique individual that he is, too. In missing the boat on literally being able to replace the Undertaker with a fresh version of his "moral compass of WWE" act for the 21st century, WWE really can't care anymore about their ratings because they missed a golden opportunity to pull eyes toward their brand. In a case of "they did this to themselves," WWE has failed.
