Often referred to as 'middle aged and crazy', Terry Funk was inducted (alongside his brother, Dory) in 2009, having the esteemed privilege of going into the WWE Hall Of Fame the same year as fellow Texans, Steve Austin and The Von Erich Family. Nobody can deny the impact of Terry Funk, or discredit the punishment he had put his own body through for the love of professional wrestling. The man has retired more times than most people have had hot dinners, but he keeps coming back for more - even though these returns have played to increasingly diminished returns, it's clear that Terry dearly loves wrestling, and it's hard for him to hang up those boots for good. Looking to try something different, a trait which admittedly must always be praised, the WWF redubbed Funk in 1998, calling him 'Chainsaw Charlie'. It was baffling, considering the sheer history the Funk name carried with the wrestling audience, and the character only really made for a few memorable moments, not least the chair-duel spot between Funk and longtime friend Mick Foley at the 1998 Royal Rumble.
