9. Vince McMahon Was Willing To Fight Eric Bischoff

Feeling untouchable, Eric Bischoff had some serious swagger in 1998. World Championship Wrestling had shot to the top of the industry several years prior, mainly due to the success of the nWo angle. By '98, Vince McMahon's World Wrestling Federation had caught up once more, but that didn't stop Bischoff from feeling like a God. Looking to goad his rival, 'Easy E' challenged McMahon to a fight. In essence, the idea was nothing more than an attempt to squeeze some last-minute buys for Slamboree in May. The Pay-Per-View was headlined by a WCW Tag-Team Title bout, pitting Sting and The Giant against The Outsiders, but most fans remember it for the match that never was. On Nitro before the show, Bischoff said Vince was welcome to come and face him on a WCW show. According to many of McMahon's most trusted allies, the WWF head honcho was actually considering it. As silly as it would have been for the ruler of the WWF go to onto his competition's show and face Bischoff, McMahon wasn't ruling it out. If it had happened, imagine just how different wrestling would be today.
