Skip to one minute in the above video and you'll see graphic details of Rey Mysterio's bicep injury. That's the inside of his bloody arm you can see, as doctors cut the former World Champion open. The reason for the February 2008 surgery was Rey tearing the bicep on an overseas tour. It left the masked wrestler's muscle out of place and necessitated a surgery that would keep him out six months. That left the popular babyface unable to compete at WrestleMania 24, to the disappointment of WWE fans everywhere. Watch the video as the surgeons stitch the operating wound back up, this was pretty serious stuff. Sadly, this was just the beginning of the end for Mysterio as a relevant performer. He ultimately underwent three surgeries in the space of one month after his bicep injury, which should have been the sign to everyone that he's way too banged up to continue. Still, he remains with WWE to this day, although he's almost exclusively been on the injured list for a few years now. It's been frustrating for the WWE, who have felt that they're basically paying a physically incapable performer. This is one man who has seen way too many operating theatres.
