10 Stupid Rules WWE Have Enforced

5. Nobody Can See Us

By far one of the most ridiculous nuances of pro wrestling is when viewers are supposed to play along and believe that they're a fly on the wall of the locker room, and the wrestlers can't see the camera man standing directly in front of them. WWE have been guilty of this many times, and it's something which detracts from the suspension of disbelief on occasion. Only adding fuel to this fire, we're led to believe that most WWE performers aren't aware of anything happening on the TV show, until someone airs it on the titantron, showing them what millions of people had already seen a full week ago. In such situations, the wrestler is instructed to act shocked, hoping the audience will sympathise. Instead, most fans are wondering why none of the wrestler's friends backstage clued them in on what had went down, and viewers are left thinking the victim is an idiot. The worst offender of this is when heels allow a camera man to film the plotting of nefarious acts, ones the heroic babyface would only be too aware of, seeing that the planning has been caught on camera and beamed at high volume to an arena full of fans, in the same building said babyface is currently in.
