Oh, how the mighty have fallen. At this time just one year ago, Rusev was on the fast track to super stardom. With wins over the likes of Mark Henry, Big Show and Rob Van Dam, he was closing in on contending for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Heck, he was even considered a strong candidate to square off with Brock Lesnar at some point down the line. Sadly, his feud with John Cena backfired big time. Not only did he fail to defeat him when it mattered most at WrestleMania 31, he proceeded to lose another two matches against The Champ on pay-per-view. And he hasn't been the same since thanks to an atrocious feud with Dolph Ziggler over the summer. He may have Lana back in his possession, but he still hasn't got any championship gold. He's worth the chase, but his bad booking in recent months has prevented fans from taking him seriously. At the very least, a run as World Heavyweight champion would have helped him get his career back on track.
