10 Superstars Who Could Debut (Or Return) On WWE Raw After WrestleMania 42

3. The Rock

What was it Carl 'CJ' Johnson said in GTA: San Andreas before hopping on a bike to escape Ballas territory? "Ah s***, here we go again". That'll be the general mood once the 'Final Boss' agrees to grace us all with his presence again. The Rock hasn't been seen on mainline WWE programming since helping John Cena turn heel at Elimination Chamber 2025, and some still haven't forgiven him for skipping WrestleMania 41.

Y'know who didn't? Travis Scott didn't, but he was the only run-in "surprise" for that Cody Rhodes vs. John Cena main event. Boo. Being upfront about it, Rock's booking since the build to 'Mania 40 has been pathetic. He cuddled up with Cody, helped Cena turn heel, then vanished without explaining a thing.

Big Dwayne has a fair bit of making up to do.

If he's in the house on the Raw after WrestleMania 42, then it must be for something substantial. No more verbally high-fiving Netflix or TKO execs like fans actually care about any of that. Do it backstage all you like, but keep that rubbish away from cameras when there are storylines and matches to line up, please.

The Rock will always bring eyeballs with him wherever he goes or whatever he does, but hardcore WWE fans who tune in week to week deserve something more from the 'Final Boss' in 2026. Should he show up to school on the 20 April flagship, then he really has to come in with a purpose and something mega to keep fans hooked.
