10 Things To Expect From WWE Raw Tonight (Jan 18)

Roman Reigns' last Raw as WWE World Heavyweight Champion?

By Jack G King /

If there was ever an edition of Raw to keep a close eye on, this week's is surely the one. Undoubtedly the biggest Raw of 2016 so far, tonight's show will have viewers hungry for clues as to the outcome of Sunday's Royal Rumble match - a match, lest we forget, in which the WWE World Heavyweight Championship is set to be on the line. The card seems pretty stacked, with Brock Lesnar making a rare appearance, Roman Reigns and Vince McMahon's feud sure to continue, and a whole host of undercard storylines to contend with. What will happen in the build to Dean Ambrose and Kevin Owens' Last Man Standing Match? Will Charlotte accept Becky Lynch's title challenge? How will Kalisto respond after losing his US Championship in heartbreaking fashion on SmackDown? As with many go-home shows prior to a large pay per view, it's unlikely that anything of massive significance will happen. Don't expect a title change or shocking debut; WWE are likely to save such big events for the Royal Rumble itself, or maybe even the following Raw. However, even if tonight's show isn't the most exciting of the year, it should certainly prove to be one of the most intriguing.

10. Brock Lesnar Will Tear Jericho Apart

One of the few details confirmed for tonight's show is the fact that Brock Lesnar will be appearing on Chris Jericho's 'Highlight Reel' show. Even the most passionate of Jerichoholics must admit that this can't be good news for Y2J. The question isn't 'will he be on the receiving end of an F5?', but how many F5s he'll find himself on the receiving end of. Even if Jericho's presence is merely a set-up to bring Roman Reigns into proceedings, leading to a heated war of words between the two main eventers, he'll likely be treated as collateral damage for Brock to throw around. As successful as Y2J has been over the course of his extensive career, he's never been afraid to put somebody over - and that trend should continue tonight with an absolute mauling at the hands of the Beast.
