10 Things We Learned From Bayley On Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Sessions

10. WWE Put Bayley In A Separate Promo Class

Promos don't come naturally to Bayley.

Back in 2013, she was completely lost during FCW promo classes. Now, Bayley realises that she didn't come armed with any character or personality because she'd always focused on 'just being a wrestler' on the indy scene. Having a gimmick would come later, if at all.

Dusty Rhodes and a producer called Chris worked tirelessly with the newcomer to help bring her passion out, but it was a struggle. Eventually, after placing Bayley in a separate class (extra homework) and pushing to hear her love for wrestling, they struck gold: 'Dream' and Chris said she should play around with her childlike fascination.

That kicked off her popular 'Hugger' guise. The character, according to Bayley, was Dusty's way of relating back to her real-life fandom as a teenager; this incredible insight helped set the tone for the rest of the interview with Austin.
