10 Things We Learned From Charlotte Flair On Stone Cold’s Broken Skull Sessions Podcast
10. Her First WWE Tour Experience
Charlotte went on two different company tours with Ric towards the end of his WWE run.
Austin's team rolled some footage on one such international jaunt back in 2005. During it, a timid-but-smiling daughter watches her significantly-more-famous father play up to the cameras. After watching, Steve wanted to know if that's when Flair caught the pro wrestling bug.
Answering honestly, Charlotte said she was actually kinda intimidated by the whole experience. Sitting in the locker rooms watching women like Torrie Wilson, Trish Stratus and Lita was an eye-opener, because the-then volleyball player couldn't believe how "beautiful and Diva-ish they were".
Charlotte really couldn't see herself following in their footsteps. Within six years, she'd change her tune slightly and start training in WWE developmental; even then, Flair couldn't picture herself strutting around the same way as blonde beauties like Trish or Torrie. Something big would have to change before she'd feel comfortable as a "WWE Diva".
