10 Things We Learned From WWE Raw (April 10)

2. Angle Defies Stephanie

Kurt Angle has been thrust into the spotlight since being announced as the new Raw General Manager one week ago, with the 'Superstar Shake-up' threatening to damage his roster before he'd even had time to settle in.

However, his presence was kept to a minimum this week save for another demeaning Sami Zayn vignette and a key role in re-establishing Seth Rollins following the conclusion of his feud with Triple H.

A key new element to Kurt's role on Monday Night Raw will be the relationship he establishes with Stephanie McMahon, and an early hint was dropped when he admitted he would be keeping Rollins on the red brand despite the best wishes of his Commissioner.

McMahon isn't currently available to throw her weight around thanks to her WrestleMania table plunge, but it was an immediate act of defiance from the 'Olympic Gold Medallist' that could spell trouble upon her return.

The reunion of the pair onscreen actually proffers some genuinely enjoyable comedy, with the two hopefully able to recapture the magic they had together in the early-2000s, but it will be curious to see if Angle is prepared to be cast in the downtrodden role Mick Foley was ultimately forced into before his exit.
