Seth Rollins, Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan, and Sting are all superstars that have headlined a PPV this year and are currently out-of-action. In some cases, they will continue to be sidelined for a considerable time in. Add in the scheduled time off for John Cena and suddenly the WWE is faced with a significantly depleted roster of main event superstars. Now is a time of opportunity for some of the talents that have been steadily working the mid-card to possibly get a chance at main-eventing. It is also a time when any superstar that is given the chance in the main event needs to stay healthy. Bret Hart said it best in a recent interview with Sports Illustrated when he proclaimed, "Nobody can hurt you and you can't hurt yourself. It's not allowed." As difficult of a notion as that is, it shows you the amount of professionalism the Hitman carried himself with throughout his career and also illustrates the type of drive and determination Bret had. It's no wonder the Hitman made it to the top as the very best. In a way that some professional athletes cannot accept losing or performing poorly, Bret was stressing the importance of staying healthy in order to carry out the plans and storylines the company has entrusted the Champion to tell. While Bret's reigns as champion may have been different than Rollins' in that more of an emphasis was placed on the Champion, it still doesn't make for a positive wrestling environment when stars are out getting injured. Staying healthy is just as important as good mic skills, a strong workrate, and being coachable in terms of developing a WWE Champion, and 2016 would be better off with more superstars and divas staying injury-free.
