Try to jump the barrier at any WWE live event and you'll be tackled, berated and likely arrested for intruding on the show. There are instances of fans successfully making it into the ring, but they're few and far between. Most are shut down before the cameras even register what's going on, and WWE have become masters at close-up angles hiding the invasion.

Presumably, nobody expected something like this at the Hall Of Fame ceremony.

That's the only reasonable explanation for why security was lax enough to let some idiot storm the ring and gun for Bret Hart during his 2019 speech. Within seconds, the moron was grabbed, removed and also took a few rabbit punches from Dash Wilder and others for his trouble.

WWE will eliminate this from their Network broadcast of the HOF. Not only will they be keen to avoid giving the aggressor any spotlight, they'd be worried that his actions might encourage others to try something similar.
