10 Things You Missed From Last Night's WWE Raw (July 9)
2. Hometown Heroine?
Speaking of Sasha Banks in particular, let's run this down.
She is, objectively, one of the Women's Revolution's most decorated performers. She's extremely popular, boasts a big-match record that compares favourably with anyone in the division, and is still laced with potential at 26 years old. On top of this, Raw was in Banks' Boston, MA hometown last night. It's a traditionally hot wrestling city, and she's playing babyface in a feud many people still believe in, yet the company restricted her to less then two minutes of airtime away from the arena.
That's almost beyond comprehension. WWE could've used this moment to breathe life into the lagging Bayley feud with an awesome segment in front of the live crowd, drawing huge pops, and roping those audience members who've already lost faith back in. Instead, they kept 'The Boss' hidden behind pre-recorded dreck.
We don't expect A1 presentation from WWE every week, but how could they let such an obvious lay-up go to waste?
