When TNA made the (in hindsight) crazy move to oppose RAW on Monday nights, AJ Styles was in the midst of a heel turn as World Champion. The man who pushed him over the edge to the dark side was none other than The Nature Boy himself, Ric Flair. Flair would manage Styles for a number of months. The two were never a natural fit however, and Styles as an arrogant high-life living heel never really made any sense. The two separated when Flair turned on Styles to join the Immortal stable, and their gripes were accentuated by the appearance of Matt Hardy. A handicap match came about, which ended with Flair pinning Styles after a low blow and a chair-assisted Twist of Hate.
