10 Times Predictable WrestleMania Outcomes Never Actually Happened

2. Booker T's Redemption Is Ended By The Game €“ WrestleMania XIX

For anybody looking to slam Triple H for his apparent burying of talent or refusal to job at the right time, this match is one you should probably look at as a reference point. Booker T won a battle royal (last eliminating The Rock) to become the number one contender for The Game€™s World Heavyweight Championship. Not a bad way to get built up for a title shot, bettering the Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment. What followed was, inexplicably, Hunter regularly getting the better of the babyface Book. As Triple H ran down Booker with comments of how 'people like him' weren€™t World Championship material €“ a line that many took to be a racist one €“ and with Booker Huffman€™s real-life criminal past being brought up by his WrestleMania opponent (and mocked by Jerry Lawler on commentary) all was set for the feel-good WrestleMania moment of Booker T overcoming and taking down the bad guy. Many thought that Booker had the match sewn up when he delivered the always-impressive Harlem Hangover, but no, Triple H would soon get up and drop Book with a Pedigree and proceed to cover him 1-2-3. During a time of multiple finishers and crazy spots and on the biggest show of the year when guys are encouraged to go all-out, Booker T€™s nailed-on WrestleMania title win was shot down by a single Pedigree from The Game in a result that shocked all watching.
