During most interviews, Triple H makes no secret about the fact that Ric Flair is one of his favourite professional wrestlers of all time. As soon as Flair returned to WWE in late-2001, it seems the pair became great friends, and a mutual respect started to grow, one which led to the duo forming an on-screen partnership. Evolution, a stable also involving Randy Orton and Batista, was a great success, but it was only a matter of time before Flair would turn babyface and feud with The Game. Doing exactly that, the pair battled over the World Heavyweight Title, and the end result was Flair having some of the best matches he'd had since the early-90's. First facing off in May, 2003 on an episode of Raw, Flair and Triple brought out the best in one another, and The Nature Boy was probably the finest ex-WCW star that HHH had worked with up to that point. A student of the industry he loves, Triple H had envisioned himself having great matches with his hero for years, so it was only natural that when they finally did come together, it'd be enjoyable to watch.
