10 Times WWE Did Something You Never Thought Possible

4. Created An All-Women's WrestleMania Main Event

There's a constant adage in the Internet Wrestling Community that the Attitude Era was the peak of professional wrestling. While there are plenty of points to be made there, there's no denying that it was a dreadful time for the women's division.

Excluding a few names like Lita and Trish Stratus - and even they had their unfortunate moments - women were treated like a sexualised sideshow during this period. But look how far the company has come since then.

The rise of the women's division has been one of the most positive changes for WWE in the last decade. No longer known as Divas, these wrestlers have taken the ball and ran with it, proving why the roster should have never been treated as a sideshow in the first place. All of this was encapsulated by the - once thought impossible - WrestleMania 35 main event.

Seeing three women (Charlotte Flair, Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch) close out the biggest night in the wrestling calendar was monumental. Still, what made it even better was that they had tons of momentum going in, were pushed with pride and delivered on a great match - bar one awkward botch.

There was a time when the highlight of a female wrestler's WrestleMania career was losing to Santino Marella in a dress. Now, it's closing out the damn show.
