10 Times WWE Fans Saw It Coming But Still Lost Their Minds
10. Seth Rollins Beats Brock Lesnar (SummerSlam 2019)
Just as fans had started to lose patience with Seth Rollins - only a few months removed from his conquering of Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 35 - 'The Beast Incarnate' chose to take advantage of a prone Universal Champion, after a mixed tag match involving himself and fiancée Raw Women's Champion Becky Lynch against Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans at Extreme Rules 2019.
This successful cashing-in of Lesnar's Money in the Bank briefcase put Rollins back in a situation where he had to overcome the odds in order to reassert himself as the top guy in the company. WWE played into this even more by having him systematically brutalised by Lesnar whenever the pair shared airtime together.
It was quite clear from the get-go that this programme was designed to get Rollins back in the WWE Universe's good books and the match itself played out like a pumped up version of what we got at 'Mania 35, which reaped rewards on that night in New Jersey and did the same again here in Toronto.
Fans were pretty much convinced before both of these events that Rollins would be the star to walk out of the arena as Universal Champion and on both occasions they were right to be.
Did that make either moment less special? No.
Did you still lose your mind at the vanquishing of the monstrous Lesnar? Yep.
Sometimes a simple 'underdog wins the big one' story is enough to send the crowd home happy - even if they saw it coming and even if in the long run it didn't end up saving 'Monday Night Rollins'.
