9. Sheamus Should've Cleanly Beaten Randy Orton At Royal Rumble 2010
If the creative plan was always for Sheamus to wrestle Triple H at WrestleMania 26, then why was it necessary to include The Legacy in the finish of a match at Royal Rumble 2010 that wasn't going to have a rematch on PPV? Sheamus eventually lost the World Championship to Triple H at Elimination Chamber the next month, which set up Sheamus in a one-on-one match for the championship at Wrestlemania. Sheamus as a heel definitively defeating Orton which then would hasten the fuller disintegration of The Legacy and set him up to walk out of Elimination Chamber barely over Triple H (but Triple H maybe injuring Sheamus in the process) could've set up a WrestleMania scenario with Sheamus looking a lot stronger than just being another guy for Triple H to beat. Creative missed an opportunity to put some steam on the Sheamus express there, which stunted his development.
