5. Attendance Figures

Did you know that more than six million people were crammed into Toronto's SkyDome to watch The Rock square off with Hulk Hogan? What do you mean, you don't believe us?

For years, wrestling buffs have tentatively suggested that WWE has been playing it fast and loose when it comes to reporting its official attendance figures, but this year's WrestleMania, which they claim was attended by more than 75,000, was the one that really began to raise some eyebrows.

If this is indeed common practice (because it is, for the time being, just a rumour, however well-founded), it's more than a little odd. Their attendance figures are obviously very impressive regardless - few other sports (or music events, for that matter) come close to matching it - so seriously: why lie?
