One of the worst matches in WrestleMania history or the worst match in WrestleMania history? That's for you to decide, though Bret Hart vs. Vince McMahon is definitely worthy of being mentioned alongside other travesties like Giant Gonzalez vs. The Undertaker and Butterbean vs. Bart Gunn.

An overlong, overbooked shambles of a Street Fight, it was exactly what you'd expect from two men with a combined age of over 110 years old, one of whom had once suffered a stroke. A complete bag of b*llocks, basically, so why did WWE make us sit through it?

This was the promotion's attempt at capitalising on any residual heat from the Montreal Screwjob. The problem was that the Screwjob had gone down 13 years prior and Bret and WWE had long since buried the hatchet behind the scenes, symbolised by 'The Hitman's' overdue return on the 4 January 2010 episode of Raw. There was therefore absolutely no need for this thing to go down, but it did. WWE desperately wanted the visual of Hart beating the tar out of the WWE Chairman.
