Since 2020, 'The Show of Shows' has operated under this formula to considerable success. Decreased show lengths have been the leading improvement, seconded by the increased likelihood of more talent getting a payday.

None more so in 2023, however, than The Miz.

Without a scheduled match, 'The A-Lister' was appointed the host of 'Mania 39, alongside Snoop Dogg. Opening the show on both nights following the standardised recital of America The Beautiful, Miz and Snoop also emerged later in the night on both shows where each time, Snoop Dogg granted the two-time WWE Champion with a spontaneous contest. This made The Miz the first man to wrestle on both nights of a two-night 'Mania.

He lost to Pat McAfee on night one, before the second night saw an omnishambles 'match' vs. Shane McMahon disintegrate in real-time, concluding in Shane tearing his quadriceps, Snoop Dogg taking his place, decking The Miz with a stiffer punch than Bart Gunn circa-Brawl For All, and People's Elbowing his way to a win.

It was terrible.

It was priceless.
