10 Ups & 4 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling (20 May)
1. There's Something About Jake
So, technically speaking, Rohit Raju vs. Jake Something was sound. It had everything it needed to, from Jake pounding on Rohit’s face to Rohit’s tantalising offence to Shera’s brief interference. It was a bog-standard affair, all things considered, and it was fine.
Until, of course, the aftermath ruined it.
The ending saw Shera trip up Something as he attempted a suplex, meaning ‘The Desi Hitman’ landed atop Jake for the three count while Shera held his ankle down. Refusing to accept this, the Deaner cousin beat the sh*t out of Shera, sending him crashing through a corner-propped table.
Rohit watched it all unfold from the ramp. He didn’t care enough to save Shera, meaning all signs currently point towards another break-up between the two, despite the fact they only realigned *checks notes* 41 days ago at the time of writing. It’s literally not that hard to make a duo interesting without making them fall out every other month. IMPACT have achieved the big man, little man relationship with Ace Austin and Madman Fulton to such a seismic extent that it makes Rohit Raju and Shera look like a joke.
Jake looked like a killer, at least, so there’s something positive.
