10 Way Too Early Card Predictions For WWE WrestleMania 43
10. Randy Orton vs. Finn Bálor
What are the bets on a Randy Orton retirement story arc heading into WrestleMania 43? That seems to be all the rage these days. Bill Goldberg, John Cena, AJ Styles and Brock Lesnar all mined it in 2025 and into 2026, and it's fair to assume that Randy can't go on forever. Neither, mind you, can Finn Balor.
Orton has been telling anyone who'll listen lately that he'd love a major feud and at least one PLE match vs. Finn before hanging up his boots. Obviously, WWE could get to Randy vs. Bálor long before heading over to Riyadh for 'Mania 43, but that's up in the air until it happens.
The super switched on out there will also point out that both guys are on separate brands for now (as if that matters!). That's nothing Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis can't sort between them on camera later this year. Failing that, perhaps Triple H will wheel out the "inter-promotional" chat for what must be considered one of Randy's few remaining personal dream matches.
There's no need to go with the 'Demon' gimmick here either. That'd only limit things, and there's something much more captivating about a straight up wrestling bout between these veterans who cut their teeth in the biz on polar opposite ends of the scale.
Bálor was a New Japan and independent darling before signing with WWE, whereas Orton was a product of the system long before Performance Centers, NXT etc. Go on, give Mr. RKO the chance to tick one off his bucket list.
