10 Ways Great Balls Of Fire Can Be WWE's Best Show Of The Year

6. The Miz Remains This Era's Honky Tonk Man

He’s not quite operating at the same level he was on SmackDown, but The Miz remains one of WWE’s most enjoyable performers. The Dean Ambrose feud has had more than its fair share of nonsense (hi there, LaVar Ball), but ‘The A-Lister’ has remained consistent throughout. He always makes the most of every bad idea that’s thrown his way, and he’ll surely produce a strong performance at the weekend, when he meets Ambrose in an Extreme Rules rematch.

Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas will likely be at ringside, and if WWE are going to book a dodgy finish this weekend, this is the match to do it in. The Miz is our generation’s Honky Tonk Man. He gets over by retaining the Intercontinental Championship through dishonesty and misdirection, and his ‘Miztourage’ will likely be at ringside on Sunday. Really, the finish writes itself.

The IC Title’s prestige went through the roof during Miz’s 188-day reign last year. WWE should aim for a similar run on Raw: the belt was almost invisible during Ambrose’s recent run, and it’d be a huge disappointment if Miz didn’t leave with the gold.
