One of the bigger running gags on social media when we would see TNA running any shows would be to make jokes about how empty the arenas would be. The saddest part was that there would almost always be photo evidence of actual empty arenas to go with the jokes. It underlined a serious problem that the company had... they continued to book shows in arenas with way too much seating capacity. When they would run shows at the Impact Zone in Orlando, the arena would be packed, and it came across well on television. When they ran shows at the Manhattan Center in New York, the arena would be packed, and it came across well on television. When they ran shows in places and would be lucky to fill up 20% of the joint, it looked and sounded terrible on television. You would think that would be easy to figure out. There is no reason to run shows in buildings that have a capacity of more than, say, 1500-2000 people. Not yet, anyway. Starting 2015 off in the Manhattan Center again is a great start. Put your focus on filling up smaller venues, making for louder shows (look at how well that's working out for the weekly NXT shows), and if you can build on that, run bigger arenas in the future.
