10 Ways WWE Will Be Different In 10 Years
3. Women’s-Exclusive Show
As WWE continues to push female superstars into a more prominent role, and as they acquire and develop various independent female wrestlers, it’s only a matter of time before WWE will have a program similar to 205 Live or the upcoming UK show that focuses on women’s wrestling.
Recently, they’ve announced a women’s tournament to air in the third quarter of 2017 on the WWE Network, using the same format of last year’s Cruiserweight Classic. If it’s successful like the CWC was, I would expect a full-blown brand.
Of course, how well they can pull off a weekly show is anyone’s guess. I wouldn’t bet on RAW, SmackDown, and NXT forgoing their women’s divisions entirely, and even with the influx of new talent, it remains to be seen how they can actually have enough superstars to make things interesting.
Still though, with the rising acceptance of women’s wrestling, and WWE’s effort to push their “women’s revolution,” don’t be too shocked when they give a weekly show a try.
