4. ...But The Young Bucks Are
At the height of the "Brawl Out" drama in mid-2022, the speculation of what might become of the four key players resulted in a lot of hypotheticals about one or more of either CM Punk, Kenny Omega or The Young Bucks somehow ending up working for WWE.
Since then, AEW have started teasing The Elite's return to television while other reports suggest that CM Punk is done and dusted save for a no-compete disagreement between the two sides. This was all to the relief of a sizeable portion of fans that steadfastly felt that the company simply couldn't be the company without three of the four wrestlers that were EVPs in the first place.
This overlooked Cody Rhodes' jump, of course, which was a cold-water reminder to many of Scott Hall's saying that wrestling's showbusiness, not showfriends, even if Rhodes has remained incredibly diplomatic in departing. The Young Bucks may never have 'The American Nightmare's goals, but could be moved to try life in WWE just to say they'd done it.
Triple H tried hard to get them in 2018 - who's to say he wouldn't do the same again?
