10 Wildest WCW Moments

1. Vince McMahon Swoops In And Buys The Company

World Championship Wrestling was considered to be Vince McMahon's greatest competitor. Ever since McMahon had started to monopolise the North American industry in the mid-1980's, nobody had been a bigger threat to him than WCW. Indeed, there were very real fears that the WWF may go out of business in 1997, such was the divide between both promotions. By 2001, that had all changed. WCW had booked themselves into oblivion, losing money and making poor decision after poor decision. A new financial investor was needed to help keep the company afloat, because AOL/Time Warner had grown seriously tired of the failing wrestling division. Buyers such as Eric Bischoff and others were discussed, before Vince McMahon himself rushed in and bought WCW from under their noses. The entire wrestling world sat stunned on March 26, 2001. This was just another wacky moment in the history of WCW, a company which had at times promised so much. Unimaginably, the end came at the hands of the man they had went to war with. There was real excitement in the air, despite trepidation from those who worried what McMahon might do with the famous brand. What other moments would you consider amongst WCW's wildest?
