10 Worst WWE Matches Of 2017
3. Charlotte Flair Vs. Nia Jax (Monday Night Raw, April 10th)
It was understandable why Charlotte Flair looked so please to be traded to SmackDown Live! after seeing what she'd no longer have to tolerate on Monday Night Raw. In truth, she was lucky to escape the red brand with her career in tact.
A botch-riddled contest wasn't too far removed from Nia Jax' underwhelming norm, but even she seemed rattled at the end of this particularly dangerous battle. Ostensibly too short to screw up in any meaningful way, the match went just under six minutes, but contained two heart-in-mouth moments for Charlotte fans as well as some transparent botches from the seemingly shattered Jax.
She first dropped the former Women's Champion right on her head as an attempted shoulderbreaker literally collapsed in her arms, and later stood way back on a Flair moonsault to the floor, taking a stray boot to the head and neck and Charlotte splatted on the arena floor.
Too exhausted to perform heavy duty corner whips and block a pinfall (both spots that looked designed to indirectly feed into the finish), her Samoan Drop-assisted victory looked only more underwhelming.
