It's startling to think now, but there was a time when Vince McMahon and the rest of his management team thought Ted DiBiase Jr could be the next big thing in the world of WWE. As recently as the first few months of 2010, there were talks of DiBiase - the son of the infinitely more famous 'Million Dollar Man' - being pushed up the ladder, pun intended. By mid-2010 however, DiBiase had become more of a bit part player, bringing back the Million Dollar Championship and having Maryse accompany him to ringside. It was a pretty blatant attempt to have fans think of the man in the same way they had his father, but it would eventually fail miserably, and Ted Jr would leave WWE to follow a career away from the wrestling business. The unfortunate thing about his inclusion in the WWE Title briefcase match in 2010 was that nobody really took him seriously as a genuine threat to winning the match, which is really a must during these Money In The Bank scenarios. Instead of even trying to fool fans into thinking DiBiase could win, WWE instead just threw him in there with little rhyme nor reason.
