10 Wrestlers Who Have Suffered The Most Since WrestleMania 34
6. Stephanie McMahon
Increasingly, WrestleMania is like the sports entertainment version of Christmas.
It arrives just once per year, and in its old age leaves the older generation bloated and knackered through its interminable duration and overstuffed content. You don't really get what you want anymore. And, like Santa, Stephanie McMahon is an artificial person who performs her duties just the once. She did so in cathartic fashion in NOLA, selling like the stock dropped in the face of Ronda's incredible fury. That was our lot; since WrestleMania, Steph has put all and sundry on the naughty list. Roman Reigns is a loser who won't stop complaining. Kurt Angle is inept. Kevin Owens is not intimidating. Ronda Rousey and Nia Jax are manipulable pawns in a game nobody ever wins, not really. Ronda won it at 'Mania, but look at her now.
And we're meant to care about them all!
At WrestleMania, Stephanie was a superb heel. Normal service has resumed since. Normal, intensely annoying and corrosive service. But desperate TV stations are paying out billions to compete with the streaming services uprising, which Steph can "market" as creative that isn't laughably bankrupt.
So there's that.
