10 Wrestlers Who Have Unfinished Business With WWE Right Now
2. Roman Reigns
On one level, it sounds ridiculous to infer that Roman Reigns still needs to prove himself. The guy has main evented WrestleMania four years on the spin, and has long been regarded as the de facto face of the company.
But for as long as he remains such a polarising figure in the eyes of the fans, he can't really place himself in the same bracket as the likes of Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Hulk Hogan or even his predecessor John Cena (who eventually earned the die-hards' grudging respect).
Roman's unfinished business is becoming the star that Vince McMahon expected him to be - not just in theory, but in practice. Getting the crowd on side every night, seeing that his victories are greeted with cheers instead of sighs.
Is that even possible at this point? Perhaps not, but until The Big Dog formally turns heel, that's his remit, and you have to imagine he'll retire with some lingering regret if he doesn't manage to fulfil it come the end of his in-ring career.
