10 Wrestlers Who Just Don't Care Anymore

It's a high-effort sport, but these men & women have have mentally checked out.

That Brock Lesnar doesn't give a hoot about professional wrestling and is only in WWE to score a hefty part-time paycheque is a common take, but not necessarily an accurate one.

There are unquestionably nights where 'The Beast Incarnate' comes across like can't be bothered. WrestleMania 32's one-sided shellacking of Dean Ambrose and the underwhelming Braun Strowman matches exemplify this, though such claims can be countered by citing energised performances against Finn Balor, Seth Rollins, Daniel Bryan, and more. While he isn't around all that often, there are too many bangers on Lesnar's résumé to put him on a list like this.

Professional wrestling is such a demanding, high-effort endeavour that it generally requires a surplus of give-a-f*ck to achieve any degree of prosperity. The vast majority of performers have made colossal sacrifices to be where they are. They're out there working themselves to dust every single night, such is their dedication to the sport and lifestyle, making it pretty easy to pinpoint those who aren't.

The men and women within wouldn't be where they are today had they not cared deeply at one point in their careers. Now, it's like each is on cruise control...

10. EC3

Check the look on EC3's face while the rest of the Raw roster dances around like fannies behind him. The man has given up.

This is hardly surprising given that he barely makes it off WWE's bench these days, having endured a torrid main roster run since "graduating" from NXT in December 2018. A confusing series of backstage segments saw the former Derrick Bateman show up, but never speak, leading to an eventual two-week feud in which he and Dean Ambrose traded pointless victories. He has wrestled on Raw just twice since then.

While he has never been the most fluid in-ring performer, that WWE haven't capitalised on EC3's charisma, ability to play a great heel character, and look is astounding, given Vince McMahon's preferences and biases. He's nothing at this point and his recent social media activity suggests that he's absolutely done with giving a f*ck:-

One might consider him a prime candidate for release if WWE still let wrestlers go, though they'd rather hold onto EC3 and only book him on Main Event than risk him going to another promotion. Poor guy.
