It should be every WWE wrestler's New Year's resolution to become champion at some point in 2025, as winning a title is more than just about carrying around a belt, but a symbol of excellence in their craft.

Title reigns are among the best accolades that can level up a wrestler to a higher status on the totem pole, make a Hall of Fame career, and turn someone from just a regular member of the roster to a future legend—or, in some cases, cement their legacy as one of the greatest of all time.

As we look ahead to 2025, the WWE landscape is brimming with potential with the Paul Levesque Era still finding its footing, Raw's premiere on Netflix sure to open new eyes to the product, and a talented roster eager to step up and stake their claim to the spotlight.

Not everyone can walk out of the year with a title to their names, but these 10 absolutely should, either because they need to turn their careers around, have to keep up their momentum as they build toward their futures, or are running out of time to capture one last championship.

10. Carmelo Hayes

Whatever happened to "When Melo shoots, he don't miss" and the era of Carmelo Hayes being able to call himself HIM with the credibility to back up both claims?

Hayes was killing it in NXT as a two time North American champion, the final cruiserweight champion, 2021 Breakout Tournament winner, and the top dog with the NXT Championship, having banger matches and looking like one of the hottest prospects ready for the main roster.

Then, after being the third overall pick to join the SmackDown brand in the 2024 WWE Draft, he's consistently struggled. Every decent win he gets is offset by a loss that undoes all that progress, and his failure to win the United States Championship could be read as WWE stamping him with a "not yet ready in our eyes" mark.

Be it an actual belt like the Intercontinental Championship or a pseudo-title like King of the Ring or Money in the Bank, Hayes is someone who should be in the same boat as Bron Breakker in building up his resume, rather than looking like he's sinking now that he's swimming with the bigger fish in a bigger pond.
