10 Wrestlers Who Secretly Changed WWE History

2. Shawn Stasiak

As the son of former WWE Champion Stan 'The Man' Stasiak, Shawn Stasiak could have had a great career. Sadly, it never quite worked out for the man once known as 'Meat'.

Following an uninspiring first stint in WWE, Stasiak transferred to WCW. He was starting to get a little bit of a push, but unfortunately, the promotion went and died before he could properly ascend to the upper echelons.

His contract was picked back up by WWE as part of the big buyout in 2001. There were plans for him to make his re-debut alongside a group of other WCW guys at WrestleMania X-Seven, as part of a mass run-in during the Vince McMahon vs. Shane McMahon match. But Stasiak just couldn't keep his mouth shut.

One day before Mania, the second-generation star went on a radio show and revealed the whole surprise. As a result, the run-in was cancelled, and the WCW contingent were reduced to a mere cameo in a skybox.

If Stasiak had just kept quiet, the knock-on effects could have been huge. Would the Invasion have looked the same if WCW had already made their presence felt? We'll never know.
