10 Wrestlers Who Should Have Been Megastars By Now – But Aren’t

6. Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt is another who’s gone on to win a world championship, but again it was an underwhelming reign. And again, while he may be seen as a star by some, you can’t call him an all-out megastar.

That mightn’t be the case, though, if Wyatt’s first two WrestleMania outings had panned out a little differently.

After turning some heads during his first six months on the main roster, Wyatt was fast-tracked to a WrestleMania meeting with John Cena—a meeting in which he’d end on the losing side. As with Owens, that defeat checked Wyatt’s momentum slightly and prevented him from truly fulfilling that potential his character had seemingly promised.

Then the following year, Wyatt was again facing one of the biggest names in the company at ‘Mania in the Undertaker, and again he finished the match looking up at the lights.

Beating either Cena or ‘Taker would undoubtedly have put Wyatt on another tier, and could’ve transformed him from the preaching megalomaniac we see today to a genuine card-topping heel.
