This one also goes without saying, right? One of the greatest junior heavyweights ever, Jushin 'Thunder Liger' made a surprise appearance at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn, defeating Tyler Breeze in his first ever WWE match. Because, even in his 50s, Liger is still making history. He is on good terms with WWE, so a return for the Shooting Star seems inevitable. Liger is a true pioneer and one of the most important names in the history of all of wrestling. He has done pretty much everything that one can do outside of WWE, winning the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship a record 11 times along with the WCW Light Heavyweight Championship (the precursor to the Cruiserweight title), countless other titles and numerous Wrestling Observer end of year awards. It isn't titles and awards that make Liger important, however, more his influence and revolutionary impact on the genre. He will for sure be involved in this series and, similar to Rey Mysterio, whoever beats him will get one heck of a rub.
