Although born in the United States, Sonjay Dutt is of Indian ethnicity, something which has played a large role in his character and career so far. He's something of an unknown quantity, despite gaining a decent amount of television time during his many stints with TNA Wrestling. A 15-year veteran, there are a lot of positives to Dutt appearing in the tournament. His Indian heritage would truly add a 'global' feel to this supposedly global series. As a performer he simply deserves the spotlight as well, as he has performed well in whatever role he has been given throughout his career. He also possesses one of the most impressive finishing moves in the game with his moonsault double foot stomp. The Original Playa from the Himalaya fits the bill for the type of competitor needed for this tournament; he's a top drawer worker with a high flying moveset and an international pedigree. I'm not entirely sure why he looks so sad in the picture above, but a good run in the Global Cruiserweight Series would certainly cheer him up!
