3. HBK Told Becky Lynch To Start Acting Like A Top Star
Speaking of Edge, he worked a fun 'Cutting Edge' segment with Becky Lynch a few weeks ago on SmackDown, and it helped cement Lynch as a super-confident star who believes she's the best. That skit may have been very different had Shawn Michaels not sat Becky down and had a little chin wag with her about poise.
In an interview with The Miami Herald, Lynch told how she shared quite the conversation with HBK on the set of The Marine 6: Close Quarters.
As Becky poured out her frustrations to the legend, he interrupted and said she was the only one who could change things. When she returned to the locker room post-filming, Michaels wanted Lynch to hold her head up high and conduct herself like a top star. This was a masterclass in psychology.
Lynch has been following his advice ever since, and she says it's given her some newfound confidence, especially during promos. That came across in the verbal sparring session with Edge; Becky didn't look out her depth when she previously would have.
